Utah Bride + Groom White Party at Red Butte Garden’s Orangerie
Introduction
Every year, the Utah Bride & Groom White Party brings together the best of the best in the wedding industry for a night filled with inspiration, creativity, and connection. This year’s celebration in June at Red Butte Garden’s Orangerie was nothing short of magical. Designed by Tonya Hoopes of Hoopes Events, whose thoughtful eye for detail made the evening unforgettable, the event was a showcase of innovative design, playful touches, and the kind of collaboration that keeps Utah’s wedding community thriving.
A Fresh Take on Design
One of the most memorable details of Tonya’s design was her playful use of fruit in the floral arrangements. The mix of lush blooms with bright pops of citrus felt fresh, vibrant, and perfect for summer. It was a reminder that inspiration can come from unexpected places, and the smallest touches often leave the biggest impression.
And then came the showstopper: a replica VW bus serving baklava. Guests couldn’t help but gather around, and it proved how interactive food stations can double as unforgettable experiences.
Entertainment That Stole the Show
True to White Party tradition, the entertainment was something to remember. A group of Utah vendors surprised everyone with a flash mob performance of “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, bringing out smiles all around as the crowd joined in.
The energy carried through the night thanks to a DJ/Sax fusion by Powell Weddings + Events, showing just how powerful live entertainment can be in setting the mood. For couples, it’s proof that music and energy aren’t just background, they’re the heartbeat of an event. Why These Gatherings Matter
While the White Party is undeniably fun, it also has a greater purpose. For vendors, it’s a chance to connect, collaborate, and spark new ideas together. That collaboration doesn’t just stay within the vendor community, it trickles down to every couple we serve.
When you choose a planner, photographer, florist, or DJ who engages in events like this, you’re working with someone who is inspired, connected, and constantly growing. And that passion shows up in every detail of your wedding day.
From Behind the Camera
As the photographer for this year’s White Party, I felt incredibly honored to capture the evening. Being trusted to document such a prestigious event for my peers was humbling and energizing all at once. Photographing fellow creatives reminded me why I love what I do: weddings are about people, connection, and joy. This night was a perfect reflection of all three.
Conclusion
The Utah Bride & Groom White Party was more than a gathering, it was a celebration of the creativity and collaboration that make Utah’s wedding industry shine. From Tonya Hoopes’ imaginative design to the unforgettable entertainment, every detail inspired the vendors who attended and will ultimately inspire the couples they serve.
