What to Do After You Get Your Wedding Gallery

Celebrate your memories, protect your investment, and turn your photos into lasting heirlooms

The Moment Has Arrived

You’ve waited patiently and now your wedding gallery is ready. This is more than just a folder of images. It’s your story. It’s the laughter, the tears, the quiet glances, and the moments you didn’t even realize were happening. These photos are how you’ll relive your wedding day for decades to come.

So pour your favorite drink and take it all in. Celebrate the beauty of what you created together. Then, let’s protect those memories, share them with care, and begin turning them into lasting heirlooms.

Step One: Download Your Gallery Promptly

Your gallery is delivered through PASS. Once the link lands in your inbox, carve out time to enjoy the images together. Make a date night out of it. Order your favorite takeout and relive your wedding memories all over again. Then, download them in both web size and high resolution. Most galleries stay live for one year, but I recommend downloading and backing up your images within the first month. Technology can change and links may expire. Downloading early ensures your memories are securely in your hands.

Step Two: Back Up in Multiple Places

Once you've downloaded your images, save them in at least two secure locations to keep them safe:

  • A cloud-based storage service like Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud (my top recommendation)

  • A dedicated external hard drive

PASS does include a built-in backup, but after one year, galleries are archived and become more difficult to access. Creating your own backups gives you peace of mind and protects your photos from unexpected tech issues. We’ve all heard stories of computers crashing and precious files disappearing. Don’t let your wedding memories be one of them.

Step Three: Share With Intention

Of course you’ll want to share your favorite moments with family and friends. Feel free to post and tag as you like. A quick note: if you’re hoping to submit your wedding to a blog or magazine, please check with me first. Many publications require exclusivity, and I’m happy to guide you through the process to give your wedding the best chance of being featured and celebrated.

Step Four: Print What You Love

Your images deserve to be lived with, not just stored away. Ordering prints directly through your gallery ensures color accuracy and image quality, and gives us a way to make things right if something goes wrong.

Steer clear of big-box printers like Walgreens or Shutterfly. They often compromise quality and can’t do justice to the care we put into each image.

Step Five: Begin Your Album Design

If your collection includes a custom album or you're considering adding one, this is the perfect time to begin. Start by selecting your favorite images. I typically recommend around 100. I’ll create an initial layout for you to review. We’ll go over the design together during two dedicated rounds. Within each round, you can make as many adjustments as you’d like so the album truly reflects your story.

Albums are more than keepsakes. They’re part of your legacy. If you’ve been on the fence about ordering one, this is your chance to turn your wedding day into something tangible, timeless, and deeply personal. Something to revisit on anniversaries, to share with loved ones, and to pass down through generations.

Why Prints Matter

Portraits of you and your loved ones are more than beautiful pictures. They’re daily reminders of joy, love, and connection. In the chaos of life, they anchor you. They remind you of the people cheering you on, even those who are no longer here.

Prints are proof of what matters most. They are visual love letters. One couple told me, 'When we’re having a hard day, flipping through our album reminds us how it all began.' That’s the power of printing your memories. A celebration of what was and a promise to remember.

Take a deep breath. Soak it all in. Then let’s make sure these memories never fade.
